諸行無常とは、この世の万物は常に変化しており、一瞬とてその姿や本質を一定に保つことはできないという意味の仏教用語である。2019年から始まったコロナ禍を経て、私たちの生活や価値観はさらに大きく変化した。そのような世界規模の出来事でも、または日常の小さな積み重なりにも、あらゆる物事は影響を受けて変わっていくのである。作品においては流動変化するさまざまなものを描き、その尊さや儚さを表現する。東京での一年ぶりの個展となる本展では、本来であれば春に行う遷色の行事を、半年遅れて楓の散るこの季節に執り行う。
The term “Everything is impermanent” is a Buddhist term meaning that all things in this world are constantly changing, and not even for a moment can remain constant in their form or essence. our lives and values have changed even more dramatically after the COVID-19 pandemic that began in 2019. Whether it is such a global event or a small accumulation of daily life, all things are affected and changed. In my work, I depict various things in flux and change, expressing their preciousness and fragility.For this exhibition, my first solo show in Tokyo in a year, I will hold a color transition event that would normally be held in spring, but I will hold it six months later in this season when the maple trees are falling.
